TO VERIFY THEVENIN'S THEOREM

Instructions

  • !!! Click on labels to delete connections of the corruspoding node.
  • Set the values of resistances R1, R2, R3, R_load and voltage by adjusting the sliders on left
  • Make connections and check them by clicking 'CHECK' button
    • To measure R_th, short circuit the terminals for power-supply, and connect the circuit to multimeter, and check connections. Then destroy the connections (DON'T reset the experiment)
      • 9->10, 11->5, 13->6
    • Now measure V_th connect cirucit to power-supply, connect the red and blue nodes of the main curcit to the voltmeter.
      • 7->9, 8->10, 11->1, 13->2
    • Connect the blue nodes (lower right hand side of screen) to each other. Then destroy the connections (DON'T reset the experiment)
      • 7->9, 8->10, 13->14, 12->4, 11->3
    • Connect power-supply to the circuit, next connect the ammeter to the avalible nodes (nodes on top right hand side of curcit) to the ammeter (connect left node to positive of ammeter and right node to negative of ammeter.)
  • Click the 'ADD' button to add observations to the table.
  • Click the 'CALCULATE' button to verify the reslts.
  • Repeat the above process with different values of resistances.
